LUMA is currently in Research Beta. Results are provisional and the assessment is intended for self-reflection, education, and research—not clinical diagnosis.

Research Beta

Methodology

How LUMA's Research Beta scale was built, and what comes next.

LUMA's initial item pool (LAQ Research Pool v0.1) was drafted directly from the six-dimension, multi-stage relational threat model, organized around the five threat-processing domains: availability, worth, responsiveness, status, and future.

LUMA adopts the Multi-Stage Relational Threat Model proposed by Song, Chen, Wang, and Ren (2026) as the theoretical basis for this assessment architecture.

A full psychometric validation program is planned in the standard sequence: qualitative interviews, item pool refinement, expert review, item analysis, exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, reliability analysis (Cronbach's alpha, McDonald's omega), convergent and discriminant validity, incremental and criterion validity, measurement invariance testing, and cross-cultural validation.

None of these analyses have been completed yet. LUMA does not display fabricated reliability, validity, or normative statistics — see Validation for current status.
